Greetings!
Greetings! Over 400 NYC High schools have committed to celebrate Career Exploration Month in February. Throughout the month, students will participate in activities to identify career interests, research certifications and degree programs needed to pursue their dream careers. Use the following resources to support your school’s planning: posters, planning toolkit with sample lesson plans and activities to engage students of all grades. Additionally, please encourage all of your students to attend the 3rd annual Summer Enrichment Fair on Saturday, Feb.2 from 11 am – 4 pm. Students and families will learn about internships, academic programs, and summer employment opportunities. Counselors who plan to attend and bring their students to the fair can register here. Thank you for helping our students learn about potential careers and develop a plan for reaching future goals!
News you can use Bulletin:
- New York State Dreamers Act Passed, for students interested in civic engagement and this topic, they can choose to call Governor Andrew Cuomo to sign and include NY Dream Act in the state budget.
- Support your students with FAFSA Verification and stay current on the changes made to the process.
- Seniors can still apply for Financial Aid and complete their FAFSA even as the Government shutdown continues. Students may encounter issues with database matching services and may receive an error as they try to submit their FAFSA online. Students and their families can call 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243) for support.
