February Edition

We hope you had a restful February Break!

SAT School Day is a month away and this is the third year NYCDOE is offering the SAT exam free of charge to all juniors during the school day. The SAT School Day initiative aims to address disparities among students preparing for and taking critical college entrance exams. In preparation for March 27th, please be on the lookout for the following items: College Board Test Supervisor planning kits, posters to promote the day and exam materials.  To save time on test day, we recommend that schools schedule pre-administration sessions to complete demographic information on the answer sheets.

Visit the Info Hub for important reminders and resources to ensure a successful administration.  In addition, you can find toolkits with sample lesson plans, checklists, and student resources on WeTeach to help your school prepare for test day.  Please contact SATSchoolDay@schools.nyc.gov for additional information. The success of SAT School Day is a direct result of your commitment to our students’ success.  Best of luck to you and your school community as you support students conquer this important milestone.  Thank you for all that you do to provide students with what they need to reach their postsecondary dreams!
