Jan Edition

Happy New Year! This newsletter edition focuses on preparing for Career Exploration Month in February 2020 and supporting all students with career exploration. Over 490 NYC high schools have committed to celebrating Career Exploration Month in 2020. In preparation for this calendar event, we are providing the following resources to support your school’s planning: student posters, a planning toolkit with sample lesson plans and activities to engage students in all grades. Additionally, please encourage all of your students, particularly 10th-grade students, to attend the 4th annual Summer Enrichment Fair on Saturday, Feb. 8th from 11 am – 2:30 pm. School staff members can also register to bring a group of students. Students and families will learn about career assessments, internships, academic programs, and summer employment opportunities. Lastly, we want to commend you for your hard work last semester. We wish you a prosperous new year!
