May 13 – Weekly Update

Greetings! Last week, the College and Career Planning Team (CCP) began to schedule Decision check-ins with all schools throughout May and June, in order to support your work reaching all seniors for 1:1 conferences and tracking postsecondary decisions. Be sure to connect with your College and Career Planning team point for Decision Campaign supportsDuring this time, we also want to send affirming messages to seniors letting them know how proud we are, acknowledging their hard work and reminding them that we are here to support them. Therefore, we hosted a second Future Ready Power Hour focusing on CUNY Enrollment Updates for graduating seniors and anyone else who was interested. We encourage you to share the flyer for future sessions and the recordings with your students.

This is the time to recognize all students’ postsecondary planswhether they are pursuing higher education, enlisting in the military, completing a vocational or trade program, or immediately seeking employment. Join us in celebrating all of our seniors and highlight your students’ postsecondary decisions on your school’s website and social media by using the following hashtags: #FutureReadyNYC and #IDecided. Ensure students have media consent forms before posting on social media. In this weekly update, we are also highlighting the resources below to inform your efforts.
